“I started Visual Remedies after painting a landscape that brought peace to a loved one who was facing the end of her life. Since then I have created paintings and nature mandalas to honor of the lives we’ve lost. I believe that creative energy is healing energy. Art can help us connect to both the Earth and the Heavens. Mother Earth provides us with everything we need, including medicine and spiritual guidance, which is why I intentionally use nature as the inspiration for my work. By combining the powers of creativity and nature into one I believe people will discover their own strength and healing capabilities within themselves. Visual Remedies is a way to honor our losses as natural and beautiful, and will continue to guide you throughout your journey through grief with forgiveness, time, and love. Visual Remedies paintings are specifically designed to aid the individual needs of each person’s journey through grief and loss. Amalia uses the imagery of nature to ease the pain of losing a loved one. Landscapes that offer peace for those who are anticipating the end of something. Amalia sits down with her clients to better understand their perspective of life, death, loss, and the afterlife. After a confidential discussion with Amalia, she will design a painting that represents your experiences with great thought and consideration. As an artist Amalia uses symbolism in her artwork and uses natural elements as refections of a person’s life story. Her paintings welcome death and loss with warmth, love, acceptance and understanding.

NATURE MANDALAS
Nature Mandalas are a beautiful way to connect with the Earth and a beautiful way to honor those who are no longer with us. By creating art with the Earth we can show honor to those we’ve lost by giving color and life to their story. Like the flowers, we will one day return to the Earth in blissful harmony. Nature Mandalas are a wonderfully creative way to honor Mother Earth for Solstices, Equinoxes, Rituals and Women Circles! And a great activity for kids! This service is provided for those who are grieving people, pets, or trees that had to be cut down.
After a consultation, Amalia will collect her materials and create a mandala of all natural materials, such as rocks, flowers, pinecones, and shells. You will receive a print in the mail and/or a digital file in an email. Each Nature Mandala includes a written explanation of the symbolism behind the colors and natural objects chosen for your Nature Mandala.

PANACEA POUCHES
Medicine Bags have been used for many generationsin in many cultures all around the world. From healing to protection, pouches are made and worn for a variety of reasons. Amalia believes that every person would benefit and enjoy having a special pouch to call their own.
You will be asked questions about who you are such as your favorite colors, animals, and passions. Then Amalia will design and hand sew a pouch unique to who you are! She will use materials such as beads, embroidery thread, recycled fabric, and paint to decorate your pouch. Lastly, Amalia will carry out a cleansing ceremony that accompanies the start of the Medicine Bag’s journey.
What you put inside the pouch is up to you! Crystals, stones, figurines, herbs, flowers, notes, and medicine can all be carried inside to keep what’s important to you close to your heart. Whatever you put inside your pouch will hold the intention of healing energy, protection, and peace.
